The World Masters Games is the largest multi sport event in the world, held in Auckland, New Zealand, 2017. The event is open to athletes from the ages 35-100. For them, you’re a champion whether you win or have a go.
Our brief was to create a document challenging all New Zealand sport organisations to enter & be represented at the Games.
We wanted to play with the colloquial term 'Go for gold' to embody having a go! – as an inspiration to enter. The graphic approach was then to follow the circle medal shape through the entire document without compromise — the circular medal shape, gold, silver, bronze inks with foil, koru spirals and track and field lines, all help compliment the sporting roots of the book. The final part of the document is a gold disc with key info to enter the Games.
We wanted to ignite the enticing thought of your sport competing on the world stage in Aotearoa. With the opportunity to win gold representing your country —irresistible! Go for gold.
